What we are doing Our goal is to develop AI software that helps eye specialists plan treatment for their patients, preventing vision loss and eventually blindness. To recognise and forecast the course of disease, we employ deep learning models for computer vision that have been trained on millions of photos and thousands of cases. Popular eye conditions like age-related macular degeneration (AMD), which affects 7.5 million people in Germany alone, are the focus of the decision support system.

Tasks Your responsibilities:

You spend four to six months working as an intern or student in software development on an AI-based medical product. You adhere to best practices for continuous integration (CI) and deployment (CD) when developing the software. In order to balance needs across the software development life cycle, from coding and deployment to maintenance and upgrades, you also introduce methods, tools, and approaches. Requirements What we are looking for Experience in the development of applications in Python strong knowledge in database management, software development, software releases, and programming familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and code repositories (such as Git). familiarity with cloud computing and Docker containerised solutions Your desired features Courses in computer science, biotechnology, data science, engineering, medical physics, or related fields first hand knowledge of developing software for medical devices in accordance with the QMS (Quality Management System) standards to guarantee compliance and quality Working-level English (C1 or higher) first hand knowledge of developing software for medical devices in accordance with the QMS (Quality Management System) standards to guarantee compliance and quality
