Engineering Manager – Multi-Billion Dollar Tech Unicorn (Berlin, Hybrid)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in our technical leadership, working across multiple teams on high-impact projects. You’ll bring a strong hands-on approach, making critical technical trade-offs while driving engineering excellence across our organisation.
What You’ll Do
- Work as an Individual Contributor , collaborating across different teams to drive large-scale technical initiatives.
- Take ownership of technical leadership , balancing hands-on development with strategic decision-making.
- Solve complex engineering challenges in data modelling, IoT/hardware interactions, and system integrations .
- Navigate and align diverse internal workstreams , ensuring seamless interaction between different data systems, IoT devices, and hardware.
- Guide teams in making technical trade-offs , choosing the best tools and architectures for scalability and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Engineering Manager leading projects and making high-level technical decisions.
- Deep technical expertise with a strong hands-on approach to coding.
- Self-organised and driven , able to manage complex projects with minimal oversight.
- Experience in C# and Node.js is preferred but not essential – we value strong engineering skills over specific tech stacks.
- Backgrounds of interest: Experience in data modelling, IoT/hardware, large-scale system architecture .
- We’re not looking for Staff Engineers with exclusively enterprise-level backgrounds – we need someone who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
