Senior Computer Vision & Machine Learning Engineer (Medical Imaging)

Overview In this role you join the Aubonne engineering group to shape imaging-based intelligence for robotic surgery. You will develop clinically relevant imaging methods for the da Vinci platform, handling data, modeling, and ML pipelines for real-time image processing. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver product-ready computer vision and ML solutions. You’ll work on challenging imaging problems that advance minimally invasive care and patient outcomes. Verantwortungsbereiche Understand clinical problems that can be solved by advanced imaging modalities and ML Develop and optimize image analysis, computer vision, and ML pipelines for endoscopic and ex-vivo imaging systems Analyze data from novel imaging systems Develop system concepts meeting complex requirements Collaborate, mentor, and lead engineers to deliver product-ready CV/ML solutions Independently solve complex problems and share solutions Communicate results regularly to cross-functional audiences Zentrale Anforderungen MSc or Ph.D. in a STEM field with emphasis on medical image analysis and ML At least six years of experience in a similar role Proficiency in Python, computer vision and ML frameworks, and CUDA Experience with hyperspectral and/or fluorescence imaging systems including data analysis and algorithm development Experience in defining metrics and datasets, error analysis, and training ML models Fluency in English (spoken and written) Highly innovative with a track record solving complex medical imaging challenges Demonstrated success in pursuing lines of inquiry and implementing solutions collaboration and teamwork mentoring and leadership strong communication of results Python computer vision machine learning frameworks
