Internship Position:
We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented intern to contribute to the development and optimization of our robotic sensory skin technology. This is a hands-on role where you will gain invaluable experience with printed electronics, cleanroom technologies, lithography, and advanced imaging methods. The position will be based at PSI in Villigen AG. You will also occasionally work at FHNW in Brugg for the measurement and validation of sensor performance, and will be collaborating with a team of experts to develop and improve processes that will shape the future of robotics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve processes for creating robotic skins with printed electrodes.
- Work with advanced imaging tools such as scanning electron microscopes and confocal microscopes.
- Explore various lithography methods, including silicon etching with photolithography and direct laser writer lithography.
- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings to the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to cleanroom protocols.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a university in Switzerland or the EU (required)
- EU/CH citizenship or Swiss work permit available (required)
- Background in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering.
- Experience with cleanroom practices would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic about learning and passionate about innovative technologies.
This internship position offers an initial 4-6-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are possible, depending on your availability. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our team of experts, receiving guidance and mentorship to enhance your professional growth.
