Head of Procurement (m/f/d)

• Location: Flexible/ remote within Germany
• Managing a €450 million spend

I\’m partnered with a global market leading industrial & manufacturing company that is searching for a Head of Global Procurement to lead their indirect & direct procurement functions across the EMEA regions. This organisation currently sits at around 5, 000 employees and is going through a significant growth stage across all business units. This is a huge opportunity for someone to define, lead and implement the global procurement strategy for the business and carve out the future organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the global procurement strategy across direct & indirect purchasing aligned with the company objectives
• Lead an international team of 10 procurement professionals based in multiple countries across the EMEA region
• Direct categories include sensors, detectors, electronics etc.
• Indirect categories include IT, Fleet, Travel, Professional Services, Marketing, Office Supplies etc.
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards
• Lead global supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management
• Build long-term, value-driven supplier partnerships
• Standardise procurement processes and governance globally
• Implement and optimise procurement systems and tools

Experience Required:

• 10+ years of procurement experience within direct & indirect purchasing
• Experience with project purchasing is preferable, especially with large EPC projects
• Experience leading internal teams based in different countries and regions
• Previous experience within the industrial & manufacturing sector
• Bachelors degree within a technical field
• Experience with modern procurement tools such as Coupa, Jagger, eAuctions, AI in procurement etc.
