I'm currently partnered with a global market leading manufacturing company based in Munich that is searching for a senior IT Procurement professional to join their team.
Candidates should have 5+ years of IT procurement experience and hands-on experience with SAP, S/4HANA & Ariba.
- Main Responsibilities
- Lead and support strategic sourcing activities, taking projects from market analysis and supplier evaluation through to contract negotiation and award.
- Serve as a trusted procurement advisor, guiding stakeholders on procurement best practices and delivering value-driven sourcing solutions.
- Manage a broad range of procurement initiatives, from supplier renewals to complex, high-value commercial negotiations.
- Conduct market research, supplier benchmarking, and assessment activities to support informed business decisions.
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies that secure favourable commercial outcomes and sustainable supplier partnerships.
- Analyse procurement data, identify improvement opportunities, and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency, value, and cost effectiveness.
- Support contract development activities, including commercial structuring, risk evaluation, and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate closely with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure procurement strategies align with organisational goals and priorities.
- Contribute to procurement transformation initiatives, driving process improvements, operational excellence, and effective change management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of IT procurement experience across hardware, software & infrastructure, Data & AI
- Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, commercial management, and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Strong commercial acumen with a consulting-style approach, capable of analysing complex challenges and delivering practical, structured solutions.
- A keen interest in technology, IT services, and emerging digital procurement trends.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strategic and solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and project management capabilities, coupled with a high level of attention to detail.
