Our client is a well-established pharmaceutical organisation with an international footprint, specialising in the development, manufacturing, and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products across global markets.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their Hamburg-based team and play a key role in managing product launches, supplier relationships, and end-to-end supply chain operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a supply chain professional looking to work in a dynamic international environment with significant exposure to cross-functional stakeholders and strategic pharmaceutical projects.

The Role

As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the end-to-end supply chain for a portfolio of pharmaceutical products.

You will work closely with internal departments, manufacturing partners, suppliers, and customers to ensure product availability, successful product launches, and efficient lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and coordination of international pharmaceutical product launches and lifecycle management activities.
  • Manage demand forecasting and production planning to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with international customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.
  • Support contract management, commercial discussions, and price negotiations.
  • Coordinate packaging-related activities and ensure regulatory and operational requirements are met.
  • Drive escalation management and resolve supply chain disruptions effectively.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard suitable manufacturing and supply partners.
  • Conduct market analysis to support business growth, product strategies, and new market opportunities.
  • Handle customer complaints and supply chain-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Candidate Profile
  • Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience within Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Logistics, or Operations in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle management.
  • Experience managing external suppliers, CMOs, or contract manufacturing relationships.
  • Commercial awareness with exposure to pricing discussions, contract management, or supplier negotiations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Languages
  • Fluent German and English required.
