What you'll do

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure solutions that align with Investorcom's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges, ensuring that IT services meet business needs effectively.
• Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to enhance security, compliance, and overall operational efficiency.
• Oversee the performance and reliability of IT systems, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value and service quality for IT services and products.
• Conduct regular assessments of IT operations, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and guide junior IT staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development within the team.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact on Investorcom's operations and strategy.
• Lead incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues and minimizing disruption to business operations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures to support operational continuity.
• Implement and manage IT service management (ITSM) frameworks to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring that IT systems can be restored quickly in the event of a disruption.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading IT projects from conception to completion, demonstrating strong project management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services.
• Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices, with experience in implementing security measures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with IT service management tools and frameworks, such as ITIL or similar methodologies.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards relevant to the financial services industry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Certifications in relevant IT disciplines, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline IT operations.
• Knowledge of Dev Ops practices and tools, enhancing collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Previous experience in the financial services sector or a related industry.
• Familiarity with data analytics tools to derive insights from IT operations data.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in managing cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Knowledge of database management systems and data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools to ensure system performance and reliability.
• Competence in using project management software and collaboration tools to facilitate teamwork.
