Our App Team consists of enthusiastic and skilled engineers responsible for our ecommerce platform\’s iOS and Android applications. We are seeking a strategic, people-focused Team Lead IT App Development (m/f/d) for our offices in Leipzig or Berlin. You should bring leadership experience, a strong product mindset, and a solid technical background (e.g., previous roles as Developer, Technical Product Owner, or similar) to effectively guide, challenge, and support the team without necessarily coding yourself.

1. Empower your team to take ownership and make independent decisions within an agile environment.
2. Foster strong collaboration within the team and with key stakeholders such as UI/UX, Product, and Platform Engineering.
3. Facilitate productive technical discussions with a critical yet constructive perspective on quality, scalability, and user impact.
4. Actively shape our leadership culture and contribute to evolving an agile mindset across the organization.

Your profile

1. Proven experience leading agile teams in mobile or frontend app development, ideally with a Product Owner background, technical product management experience, or previous hands-on development experience.
2. Solid understanding of technical concepts enabling confident leadership and effective communication with engineers and stakeholders.
3. Strong affinity for delivering excellent user experiences, working closely with UI/UX and Product teams to create meaningful solutions.
4. Excellent communication skills, empathy, proactivity, and a solution-oriented mindset.
5. Comfortable with change and experienced in leading teams through growth and transformation periods.
6. Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
