The Role

We are looking for experienced Manufacturing Automation, Robotics and Controls Engineers to support a major manufacturing transformation programme in Speyer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and implement automated manufacturing cells
  • Introduce robots and cobots into existing manufacturing environments
  • Identify and automate previously manual manufacturing processes
  • Develop automated component routes and production processes
  • Integrate robotics and automation across multiple manufacturing stages
  • Take automation cells from concept through to production
  • Support installation, commissioning and introduction of new automated equipment
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual labour and manufacturing costs
  • Improve production efficiency, repeatability and throughput
  • Work closely with production, manufacturing and engineering teams
  • Drive automation projects directly on the manufacturing shop floor
  • Support automation across areas including machining, pressing, surface treatment and other production processes

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Proven experience in manufacturing automation / robotics
  • Hands-on experience introducing robots and/or cobots into production
  • Experience designing, planning and implementing manufacturing cells
  • Demonstrable experience taking automation projects into live production
  • Experience automating manual manufacturing processes
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop-floor environments
  • Experience with robotics integration and automated production systems
  • Ideally experience within automotive, aerospace or another highly automated manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on, practical approach rather than purely maintenance-focused experience
