An innovative industrial technology start-upis scaling its special-purpose machinery used in sustainable packaging / circular-economy applications. They are hiring a Service & Commissioning Engineer to take ownership of hands-on commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support across Europe and the US.
The ideal role for a technically driven individual, who enjoys being close to the hardware and the controls layer. You will be given the platform to turn complex systems into reliable production equipment. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role with real autonomy.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducting software-based commissioning and acceptance testing of system installations at international client sites.
- Supporting initial production ramp-up and ensuring smooth transition into steady-state operations.
- Providing ongoing technical support and maintenance remotely and on-site to clients globally.
- Implementing system updates and adjustments to maintain peak performance and security.
- Diagnosing and resolving technical faults within Beckhoff and TwinCAT-controlled PLC and HMI systems.
- Contributing insights from field experiences to optimise and improve installed systems.
- Delivering user training and ensuring clients operate the systems safely and effectively.
- Collaborating with the R&D team to feed field insights into future tech innovations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experienced Service & Commissioning Engineer
- Background in industrial automation or specialised machinery environments.
- Technical qualification or degree in electrical engineering, automation, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
- Proven proficiency in programming and troubleshooting Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC and HMI systems.
- Strong communication skills in English and German.
- Flexibility for international travel to support customer projects.
