Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the RMM projects, assisting in carrying out immediate to long‑term objectives defined in the programme documents, including support for country assessments and implementation of activities to develop or strengthen resettlement programmes.
  • Support project review and endorsement processes for Country Offices outside of the European Economic Area for new and ongoing projects with resettlement and/or movement components, including the development of project proposals, appeals, and response plans.
  • Deliver training and provide guidance to staff on RMM strategy, institutional policies, project development and implementation support related to complementary pathways and protection mainstreaming.
  • Liaise internally with IOM divisions for organising meetings, drafting meeting summaries, collecting information and inputs related to complementary pathways and protection mainstreaming, promoting broader institutional coordination on establishing, expanding and enhancing resettlement and complementary pathways.
  • Provide technical support in capacity building, delivering training and supporting communities of practice on frameworks and tools related to the operationalisation of complementary pathways and protection mainstreaming across RMM programming.
  • Coordinate closely within RMM, with the Migrant Protection Unit (MPX) and across other HQ divisions and units on policy updates, in relation to management and transportation of vulnerable migrants.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to communications and public information, by contributing to the development of slide presentations, press notes, talking points, situation reports, and newsletters.
  • Develop infographics representing programme achievements on resettlement, complementary pathways and protection mainstreaming, and other components for inclusion in the RMM portal and other fora.
  • Assist in preparing for and participating in regular calls with country offices, bilateral meetings with UNHCR, other relevant stakeholders, and donor meetings.
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Political or Social Science, International Relations, Law or a related field from an accredited institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Previous experience in providing administrative and logistical support, project development and/or working for an organisation that provides humanitarian assistance.
  • Experience in research, writing, outreach, data collection and analysis as well as communications.
  • Experience of working in a multi‑cultural setting.

Skills

  • Strong organisational and project support skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting reports and presentations.
  • Effective coordination and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across teams and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Computer literate, well‑versed in Microsoft Office Suite and design software.
  • Familiarity with IOM’s role in resettlement and movement operations.

Languages

  • Fluent in English (oral and written) required.
  • Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an advantage.
