Field Service Engineer (f/m/x) – Northern Germany & Denmark

Join the IONITY Operations team as a Field Service Engineer (f/m/x) – Northern Germany & Denmark to provide diagnostic and technical support for our High Power Charging Stations. This role involves traveling within a defined region to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on existing HPC sites. Knowledge of and comfort with these facilities are essential. Location: Northern Germany.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support to minimize system downtime.
2. Conduct onsite root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance.
3. Manage spare parts ordering and handling.
4. Debug systems and perform remote diagnostics by reviewing logged data.
5. Develop processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge for standard service actions.
6. Identify trends in field failures and communicate feedback to improve systems.
7. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to investigate issues and implement countermeasures.

Your profile:

• Certified electrician with expertise in low voltage systems (up to 1000VAC/1500VDC). Additional EHS certifications are a plus.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician, preferably with similar technical equipment.
• Technical degree in Electrics or related field.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with electrical measuring devices such as multimeters and testers.
• Familiarity with MS Office and database software.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German; additional languages are advantageous.
• Experience working with external service providers.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and be flexible with travel and off-hours work.
