We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of PPC to lead our paid advertising efforts across all IONOS Group brands and international markets. This is a high‑impact leadership role managing significant budgets and driving customer acquisition at scale across multiple channels and geographies. This position can be filled either in Berlin or Karlsruhe.

Tasks

Strategic Growth & AI Performance

  • AI-First Roadmap: Lead a global PPC strategy centered on AI automation and predictive modeling to scale acquisition across SEA, Social, and Display.
  • Smart P&L Ownership: Manage multi-million Euro budgets using AI forecasting to shift capital dynamically across international markets.
  • Real-Time Intelligence: Deploy AI-driven competitive analysis to adapt instantly to local market shifts and global regulations.

Modern Leadership & Synergy

  • AI‑Native Culture: Lead an international team that uses Generative AI and automated workflows to eliminate manual tasks and focus on creative strategy.
  • Unified Growth Engine: Partner with SEO, Content, and Data Science to build an AI‑supported ecosystem connecting brand visibility to performance data.

Innovation & Tech Evolution

  • Full‑Funnel AI: Drive AI adoption beyond bidding—integrating it into creative production, personalized landing pages, and advanced BI attribution.
  • Iterative Transformation: Lead a “test‑and‑learn” culture that treats AI as a strategic partner to identify emerging platforms and top‑tier campaign structures.

Qualifications

Experience & Performance

  • PPC Leadership: at least 7 years of experience in performance marketing, with 3 years leading teams and managing annual budgets over €10 M.
  • Platform Expertise: Strong, hands‑on knowledge of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, plus experience scaling Social (Meta, LinkedIn), Display, and YouTube.
  • International Scope: Proven ability to manage multi‑market and multi‑language campaigns. Fluent English (C1/C2) is a must; other languages are a plus.
  • Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.

  • Strategic Business Sense: You understand how PPC impacts the bottom line and can explain complex data to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way.

  • Effective Communication: You can bridge the gap between technical AI topics and broader business goals, keeping everyone aligned in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Hands‑on & Results‑Driven: You are a data‑driven problem solver who balances a “big picture” strategy with a practical, results‑oriented approach.
