Overview
Are you a proactive professional fluent in German with a passion for customer interaction and cutting‑edge technologies? At CRONON and IONOS, we are seeking a dynamic Technical Account Manager / Project Manager. In this pivotal role, you will gather requirements, implement solutions, and address emerging challenges, all while building strong relationships with our valued clients.
Tasks
- Technical leadership and active participation in funded research projects (e.g., Horizon Europe, IPCEI-CIS, Digital Europe), including architectural decisions, technical deliverables, and work package management.
- Design of sovereign, secure, and scalable cloud architectures for R&D use cases (e.g., AI/HPC, Data Spaces, Edge Computing, Web3, Cybersecurity, Sovereign Cloud).
- Creation and prioritization of epics and user stories, as well as responsibility for the technical backlog in close coordination with research partners and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct workshops, perform requirement analysis, and derive technical designs for consortia, internal stakeholders, and public clients.
- Serve as a central interface and technical point of contact for internal teams, project partners, subcontractors, and representatives from the EU and authorities; manage communication, risks, and dependencies.
- Evaluate new technologies and incorporate relevant findings into product roadmaps; represent the company in professional circles, working groups, and conferences.
Qualifications
- Completed studies in IT and excellent German and English language skills.
- Several years of experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures (compute, storage, network, IAM, security) and proficiency with common architecture design tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Lucidchart).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, container technologies, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in creating and prioritizing backlogs (epics, user stories) and working at the interface between product, engineering, research, and external partners.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Independent, structured, and results‑oriented working style with a quick grasp of new technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Entrepreneurial thinking, decision‑making ability, and a good understanding of technological and business contexts in innovation projects.
- Experience in EU or national R&D projects, especially in managing technical work packages, deliverables, and consortium coordination, is advantageous.
