Within Faculty IV in the department of Business Administration, the chair of Corporate Finance and Capital Markets (Professor Axel Adam-Müller) invites applications for the following position, to be filled as soon as possible:
Postdoc (m/f/x)
Salary scale E 13 TV-L, full time (100%). Theposition is fixed-term for three years and is intended to support postdoc studies (habilitation or equivalent research achievements) in accordance with the German Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act (WissZeitVG).
Your responsibilities
- research in corporate finance
- conducting independent research, for example in the areas of Sustainable Finance, corporate risk management or private credit
- preparing academic publications and research reports
- presenting research findings at conferences and workshops
- teaching in corporate finance
- assisting with the design and delivery of teaching activities in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes
- supervising and supporting students with undergraduate and postgraduate thesis projects
- supporting the administrative activities of the chair
What we expect
- master’s degree (or equivalent) completed with excellent results in one of the following disciplines:
- business administration or economics
- mathematics, financial mathematics, or statistics or
- a related discipline with a strong business or economics focus
- PhD / doctoral degree in a relevant field
- strong interest in research and teaching in the field of corporate finance
- experience in quantitative research methods
- excellent written and spoken English
- the ability to work independently, together with a high level of commitment, flexibility, teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
- eligibility for appointment in accordance with Section 57 (2) and (3) of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act (HochSchG)
