Electrical Layout Engineer (m/f/x)

For a project partner in Erlangen, we are seeking an Electrical Layout Engineer (m/f/x). The area of responsibility includes the processing (planning, contracting, coordination) of cable systems for turnkey power generation/power transmission systems (HVDC, FACTS, and GIS/AIS).

Minimum Requirements:

• Successfully completed university degree in electrical engineering or completed technical training with relevant professional experience
• Several years of professional experience in cable planning for international turnkey systems in the field of power generation/power transmission
• Fluent written and spoken German and English skills

Responsibilities:

• Technical design of cable routing systems (control, LV, MV, FO, special cables)
• Creation of cable lists and cable routing maps
• Consideration of customer specifications and country-specific standards in collaboration with national companies and local planning offices and authorities
• Cost estimation/determination of planning and execution services
• Creation of request documents (specifications, concept plans, service descriptions, lists with quantity take-offs)
• Obtaining, evaluating, and assessing bids
• Participation and technical management of negotiations with customers, specialist planners, and suppliers
• Participation in award discussions, participation in purchase orders
• Coordination/interface clarification with project participants (internal and external)
• Technical controlling of execution/service provision by specialist planners and suppliers
