Senior Generative AI Engineer (M/W/D)

Overview

In this role you will design and scale the Orion GenAI Platform to accelerate GenAI product development. You will standardize the technology stack, provide reusable components, and shield application teams from complexity to speed delivery. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on needs and integrate GenAI solutions. This is a hands-on, architecture-driven role at the intersection of AI research and platform engineering. You will help shape a scalable, robust GenAI platform that enables rapid innovation.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Platform Development: design and architect the Orion GenAI Platform for scalable deployment
• Accelerate Development: speed up the development and delivery lifecycle of GenAI products
• Standardization: enforce standardized tech stacks and best practices across projects
• Innovation Facilitation: provide standard components and tools to enable rapid innovation
• Technical Shielding: abstract and manage complex technical challenges for application teams
• Collaboration: work with cross-functional teams to integrate GenAI solutions

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Software design & architecture experience for large-scale platforms
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and testing methodologies
• Deep GenAI expertise: transformers, embeddings, LLMs, RAG, AI agents
• Data & ML engineering background; Databricks a plus
• Cloud proficiency, preferably Azure
• Advanced Python programming
• Web technologies, especially JavaScript
• Parallel processing and GPU/CUDA experience is a plus
• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on AI/GenAI
• Master's degree preferred
