About us & The Mission Join us to protect the world's communities from financial crime.
Our real-time fraud prevention solutions protect more than 100 billion payment transactions per year across the globe.
To address the challenges of an evolving technological ecosystem and growing market demands, we are **building a brand-new, dedicated engineering team**.
This is a rare opportunity to join at the foundation: you will help shape the future of our technology stack, evaluate architectural alternatives, and directly inform key technical decisions in close collaboration with technical leadership.
If you thrive in an environment where your voice directly impacts architecture, technology choices, and long-term product direction, this is the place for you.
Role & Opportunity Our platform manages vast volumes of behavioural data — counters, indexes, precedents, patterns, and historical transactions — under strict real-time and durability requirements.
As part of our new engineering initiative, you will help design and build the next generation of our Data Storage layer, turning persistence and clustering into a modern, highly available, and scalable foundation.
You will collaborate directly with technical leadership to evaluate storage engine designs, persistence strategies, and replication mechanisms, playing a key role in defining how data is stored and distributed across the platform.
What you will work on Help shape the storage architecture: evaluate persistence strategies, storage engines, and data layouts for ultra-low-latency workloads.
Design and build robust durability and recovery mechanisms: write-ahead logging (WAL), snapshotting, and incremental replication.
Design data transplantation and high-availability cluster recovery workflows (node join, re-attach, disaster recovery).
Implement high-efficiency inter-process communication (such as shared memory) between storage and compute layers.
Contribute to data partitioning and tenant-sharding strategies for horizontal scalability.
Instrument storage health and performance metrics (write lag, buffer utilization, I/O latency) with modern observability standards.
Actively participate in architectural decisions and technology selection for data persistence and clustering.
Requirements Degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong hands-on programming experience with Rust and/or modern C++ (17/20/23) in performance-sensitive or low-latency systems.
Deep understanding of concurrent programming: memory models, cache efficiency, synchronization primitives, and lock-free data structures.
Experience with profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing applications on Linux.
Sound understanding of storage and durability fundamentals (WAL concepts, persistence, crash consistency) or distributed data replication.
Strong analytical mindset: ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs with empirical data.
Collaborative mindset and eagerness to actively shape technology choices and team practices.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Nice to have Experience evaluating, embedding, or building storage engines, key-value stores, or distributed systems.
Knowledge of FFI and cross-language interoperability (Rust / C++).
Experience with object-storage APIs (S3-compatible) or relational databases (Postgre SQL).
Experience with Open Telemetry or similar observability frameworks.
Familiarity with containerization concepts (Docker).
