Iron Mountain is seeking an operational Continuous Improvement Manager Germany to join our Operations Transformation team.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence site performance across Germany by eliminating bottlenecks, refining core processes, and embedding sustainable ways of working.
Joining our team means taking on a hands‑on role where your analytical mindset and collaborative coaching will challenge the status quo to raise operational standards. Here, your expertise will empower site leaders and drive measurable enhancements across throughput, quality, and service level adherence.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Drive Operational Excellence & Stabilization: Conduct deep‑dive reviews of throughput and cost drivers to implement pragmatic improvements and ensure strict SLA adherence across German sites.
- Lead Performance Governance & KPIs: Shift the focus from reporting overload to steering‑relevant metrics while establishing robust daily and weekly performance routines.
- Enable & Spar with Leadership: Provide coaching on decision‑making and escalation handling while clarifying roles and responsibilities to eliminate informal dependencies.
- Maintain Process & Compliance Integrity: Audit the daily implementation of security requirements and document operational workflows to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
- Foster Cross‑Site Engagement & Handover: Facilitate best‑practice sharing across locations and moderate interfaces between IT and Operations to ensure smooth handovers to internal ownership.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
- Several years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Process Excellence, or Operations Transformation.
- Strong knowledge of high‑volume BPO, scanning/document processing, logistics, shared services, or manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience with improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, or DMAIC (Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is an advantage).
- Confident coaching and stakeholder management capabilities with fluency in both German and English.
