Job Description As a German Teacher for Primary and Secondary at ISCS – The British School of Zug, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging German lessons for students of different ages and language proficiency levels.
You will design learning experiences that promote active participation, oral and written communication in German, and the development of creative and critical thinking skills. You will work collaboratively with an international team of teachers to align the curriculum, coordinate interdisciplinary projects, and support the individual progress of each student.
The role also includes participating in pastoral responsibilities, parent meetings, and school events that strengthen our international ethos and collaborative school community.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cham, Switzerland.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in teaching German, with the ability to adapt teaching approaches to both Primary and Secondary students.
Experience in planning and delivering high-quality lessons, formative assessment, and effective classroom management.
Ability to provide individual support through mentoring and academic guidance, promoting both students' personal and academic development.
A university degree in Education, German Studies, Primary or Secondary Education, or a related field.
Native or near-native proficiency in German.
Strong pedagogical skills for working in an international environment, including an open mindset, intercultural awareness, and a student-centred approach.
Good communication skills in English, the ability to work collaboratively within an international team, and a willingness to contribute to wider school projects and community activities.
