Procurement Project Manager (m/f/d) – supply chain / Agile / Scrum / English / German

For our customer Roche Diagnostics International AG based in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a qualified Procurement Project Manager (m/f/d).

Background:
The Procurement Project Manager is leading a broad range of projects within the area of Diagnostics Direct Procurement but also in close collaboration with stakeholders and adjoining functions. These projects include the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of state-of-the-art procurement processes as well as digital Procurement Solutions, leveraging both traditional and agile ways of working. In addition, the Procurement Project Manager is leading benchmarking and sourcing projects, leveraging modern digital technologies and procurement tools (e.g. eAuctions).

Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute comprehensive procurement project plans, considering timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
3. Monitor and control project execution.
4. Monitor and mitigate risk – proactively identify and report any projected risks to overall targets or timelines, as well as potential mitigation strategies.
5. Planning, design, and leadership of global Sourcing & Benchmarking projects.
6. Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners; coordinate cross-functional teams.
7. Drive close alignment with relevant stakeholders within Roche Diagnostics and across Roche Group.
8. Lead global, cross-functional projects to expand and continuously improve the modern procurement process landscape.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements/improvement potential.
10. Manage backlog.
11. Leverage modern digital procurement technology to drive an efficient, compliant Sourcing & Benchmarking process.
12. Continuously assess and improve procurement processes, identifying opportunities for automation, streamlining, and cost savings.
13. Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance overall procurement efficiency.

Must Haves:

1. University degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or Life Sciences.
2. High proficiency in English.
3. 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience delivering measurable value in strategic sourcing, enterprise cost reduction, and/or operational efficiency projects.
4. Familiarity with different project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
5. Strong background in strategic sourcing and supplier management in new product development and introduction in the medical device/pharmaceutical industry.
6. 3+ years of project management experience including risk management, project reporting, and delivering quantitative and qualitative results in complex environments.
7. Strong experience in upward communication and senior stakeholder management.
8. Strong capability in negotiation and conflict resolution.
9. Documented international strategic sourcing experience and/or cross-functional, international projects in Procurement Area.
10. Experience in working in complex global matrix environments.
11. Strong analytical experience including the ability to drive insights from large and varied data sources.
12. Experience with enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement/procure-to-pay tools.

Nice to have:

1. Postgraduate business-related qualification.
2. Life Sciences or Management Consulting industry experience.
3. Any professional purchasing, project management, or finance-related licenses or certifications would be considered advantageous.
