pbResearch Histopathology Technologist: /b Hbistology Laboratory /bb/ Cryosectioning / mammalian tissues / fixation, embedding / sectioning / Staining / in vitro samples English /b /p h3Background: /h3 pThe Tissue Spatial Technologies Platform in the 360 Labs Initiative is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated and collaborative histopathology technologist to provide focused histology services and enable user on-boarding and support for the platform's open lab. The successful candidate will have a robust background in the histological preparation of mammalian tissues and will work as a part of a matrix team, collaborate closely with experts from each of our therapeutic disease areas and functions to advance early drug discovery and participate in the early implementation and growth of the Histopathology Platform within the pRED organization. /p h3The Perfect Candidate: /h3 pholds a university degree in the life sciences or a laboratory technologist background with at least three years of hands-on histology experience. They possess exceptional technical skills in handling mammalian and delicate tissues-such as cryopreserved nervous-system samples and organoids-mastering everything from fixation to staining, equipment maintenance, and regulatory assay documentation. Furthermore, they combine strong manual dexterity and detail-oriented problem-solving with fluent English communication skills to thrive autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment. /p h3Tasks Responsibilities: /h3 ul liExecute end-to-end workflows for tissue specimens, including processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (including immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH) and immunofluorescence (IF)) and digital pathology techniques such as whole slide scanning; /li liPerform quality control, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting across a range of histology lab instruments to ensure high-quality data production; /li liProvide training and support in the use of histology equipment, and collaborate with laboratory scientists to optimize tissue-based assays in early drug discovery research projects; /li liYou embrace a continuous learning mindset by actively engaging with the scientific literature to stay up to date on new technologies/approaches used in the histopathology space. /li /ul h3Must Haves: /h3 ul liYou hold a university degree in the life sciences or are a Laboratory Technologist with at least 3 years of histology laboratory experience /li liYou have exceptional skills in the histological preparation of mammalian tissues, including hands-on experience in fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining techniques, along with an in-depth knowledge of the operation and maintenance of histological laboratory equipment, and a solid understanding of regulations for assay documentation to ensure high-quality data generation /li liYou are a skilled experimentalist with a keen attention to detail along with robust manual dexterity and precision handling of delicate samples, such as cryopreserved nervous-system tissues, to ensure accurate and reproducible tissue preparation (e.g. cryosectioning, sectioning of in vitro samples such as organoids /li liCustomer-focused with a drive for growth and a questioning mindset.
