About iwoca

Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities – making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes.

We’ve already made several billion in funding available to over 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe. Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science and a 5-star customer service.

Team Lead Partner Acquisition – Who we’re looking for

In brief – you have at least 5-8 years work experience in a commercial role (Sales, Key Account Management) and gained first leadership experience in the FinTech Industry, Financial Services or Business Services. You’re passionate about winning new partners and delivering real results; you’re able to quickly cut through noise and identify solutions and key priorities and take pride in guiding a team in our mission to substantially grow our partner base in the coming years. You will thrive on the challenge of unlocking the potential of finance for small and medium businesses through partnerships.

The role

This is one of the most central and important positions and part of the sales & leadership team within iwoca Deutschland, as you’ll be holistically responsible for the acquisition of new business partners, like banks, online-platforms and brokers, and a key market stakeholder for our product-market fit.

You will be responsible for winning new partners in our indirect distribution channels such as our high-profile strategic partnerships including large E-Commerce platforms, and our network of more than 1000 independent brokers. Together with your team, you will develop in-depth knowledge of the needs of each lead segment, adjust our value proposition accordingly and create market momentum for iwoca. You will guide your capable and motivated team to pursue opportunities and optimize existing efforts without the need for micromanagement – you are the coach, coordinator, and mentor for them.

You need to bring hard skills, experience, resilience and a passion for collaboration and leadership. Beyond that, we’ll of course equip you with everything you need to be effective in your role – a deep understanding of iwoca, our products, processes, business model and unit economics, as well as the knowledge and structures we’ve already built in our success path so far.

You’ll be an important member of iwoca’s Customer Acquisition and Partnership Management Team and reporting into our Head of Business Development.

Once you’ve found your bearings, here are some of the things you’ll do:

  • You’re able to think in a structured and strategic way, you are able to plan forward by ‘working backwards’, you are able to disentangle big problems into small ones and solve them one by one.
  • You’re great at selling, you’re a fantastic networker with strong communication skills.
  • You’ve got an analytical mind and you have no problems working with data – you’ll need to make impactful decisions based on this.
  • You lead by example and are able to inspire others with your skillset, your drive, your grit, your ways of working, your management style and your down-to-earthness.
  • You’re smart – able, perceptive, nimble, sharp, proactive, you give due attention to details, you start by asking ‘why?’.
  • You’re humble – willing to help others, non-hierarchical, non-boastful, a team player, critical of yourself and not just of others, you’re accountable, not arrogant, you’re willing to accept criticism, open to being wrong.
  • You’re motivated – enthusiastic, keen, highly engaged, excited to join iwoca.
  • You have a growth mindset – you seek continuous improvement, always pushing yourself to be even better than you are today.
  • You are a fluent German speaker with a high level of written and spoken English.
