Overview
In this senior role, you will lead Engineering, CAPEX and Process Technology across HAM sites in Europe, shaping the engineering strategy and major investments. You’ll drive productivity, capacity, quality and cost improvements with a strong focus on safety and compliance. You will mentor the European engineering team, stay close to plants and technology, and partner across Operations, R&D, Quality and EHS&S to align priorities. This is a hands-on leadership position with meaningful impact on site performance and environmental stewardship.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Lead and develop the European Engineering organization, setting priorities, coaching the team and fostering ownership and collaboration
- Develop and manage the European CAPEX strategy, including investment plans, budgets and project prioritization
- Oversee capital projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring safe, timely and cost‑effective delivery
- Drive process technology and continuous improvement to boost productivity, capacity, yield, quality and cost
- Provide hands-on engineering support to plant operations, troubleshoot process and equipment issues, and evaluate new technologies
- Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, R&D, Quality, EHS&S and other functions to align engineering priorities with business needs
- Ensure all engineering activities meet safety, environmental, regulatory and company standards, coordinating with EHS&S and external partners
Zentrale Anforderungen
- Degree in Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- 7–10+ years of engineering and project management experience including leadership of engineering or CAPEX teams
- Strong experience in CAPEX, process engineering and industrial operations; mineral processing or chemical industry experience is a plus
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on mindset across a broad range of engineering topics
- Proven people leadership and coaching capabilities with a collaborative, ownership-driven approach
- Willingness to travel regularly
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
