We are seeking a Senior Director Sales Central Europe (m/w/d) at JACK WOLFSKIN to lead our sales strategies in Central Europe. This role is based at our headquarters in Idstein.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a sustainable sales strategy across categories including outdoor technology, lifestyle, children, shoes, and equipment in Central Europe.
- Oversee daily operations of Corporate Sales, National Accounts, Field Sales, and Sales Operations.
- Set short- and long-term goals to support company growth and vision in the region.
- Analyze financial reports and activities to monitor progress and adapt strategies to market conditions.
- Create effective territory strategies and ensure healthy competition among wholesale partners.
- Build and maintain trustful relationships with key clients for sustainable collaboration.
- Lead the transformation of the marketplace across all sales channels to explore new growth opportunities.
- Work closely with internal teams to define clear and efficient trading conditions.
- Understand market dynamics, identify early changes, and develop proactive strategies to meet goals and margins.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a motivated, high-performing team providing excellent service.
- Collaborate internally to support key initiatives and create strong go-to-market plans with brand and category teams.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasts and work with controlling to optimize profitability.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and foster transparent trading relationships.
- Enhance employee engagement through regular coaching and targeted development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 10 years of experience in sales and operations, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven success managing sales teams and franchise roles across categories and regions.
- Experience working with key clients (B&M, digital), department stores, independent retailers, and franchise partners.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic visions.
- Deep commercial understanding of sales channels, net revenue, margins, and profitability.
- Negotiation skills and effective communication.
- International experience and success in sustainable business development.
- Experience in account management and franchise management is advantageous.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
