We are seeking a Senior Director Sales Central Europe (m/w/d) at JACK WOLFSKIN to lead our sales strategies in Central Europe. This role is based at our headquarters in Idstein.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a sustainable sales strategy across categories including outdoor technology, lifestyle, children, shoes, and equipment in Central Europe.
  2. Oversee daily operations of Corporate Sales, National Accounts, Field Sales, and Sales Operations.
  3. Set short- and long-term goals to support company growth and vision in the region.
  4. Analyze financial reports and activities to monitor progress and adapt strategies to market conditions.
  5. Create effective territory strategies and ensure healthy competition among wholesale partners.
  6. Build and maintain trustful relationships with key clients for sustainable collaboration.
  7. Lead the transformation of the marketplace across all sales channels to explore new growth opportunities.
  8. Work closely with internal teams to define clear and efficient trading conditions.
  9. Understand market dynamics, identify early changes, and develop proactive strategies to meet goals and margins.
  10. Recruit, lead, and develop a motivated, high-performing team providing excellent service.
  11. Collaborate internally to support key initiatives and create strong go-to-market plans with brand and category teams.
  12. Ensure accurate sales forecasts and work with controlling to optimize profitability.
  13. Maintain compliance with company policies and foster transparent trading relationships.
  14. Enhance employee engagement through regular coaching and targeted development.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  2. At least 10 years of experience in sales and operations, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
  3. Proven success managing sales teams and franchise roles across categories and regions.
  4. Experience working with key clients (B&M, digital), department stores, independent retailers, and franchise partners.
  5. Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  6. Ability to develop and execute long-term strategic visions.
  7. Deep commercial understanding of sales channels, net revenue, margins, and profitability.
  8. Negotiation skills and effective communication.
  9. International experience and success in sustainable business development.
  10. Experience in account management and franchise management is advantageous.
  11. Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
