Role

As a Robotic Manipulation Developer at Jacobi, you’ll design and implement advanced algorithms at the intersection of AI, robotics, and 3D vision. Your work will focus on pushing the boundaries of robotic automation, developing motion planning, real-time decision-making, and perception systems that enable robots to manipulate objects in unstructured environments.The salary range for this role is €80,000-€110,000, along with equity and benefits, providing a competitive and comprehensive package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement real-time advanced algorithms for robotic manipulation tasks.

  • Develop 3D vision algorithms using depth cameras and stereo vision.

  • Integrate and test algorithms in both simulation and on physical robot hardware.

  • Validate performance in a wide range of real-world and simulated conditions.

  • Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of roboticists, software engineers, and AI researchers.

  • Contribute to the development of scalable, modular software components for industrial-grade robotic systems.

  • Experience with RGB-D and stereo vision cameras (e.g., RealSense, ZED, PhotoNeo) for 3D perception.

  • Solid understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and control.

  • Proficient in Linux-based development environments.

  • Strong debugging skills and meticulous attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with real-time systems, multi-threaded programming, and performance optimization.

  • Solid grasp of computer networking concepts and system-level integration.

  • PhD in robotic manipulation – advantage!

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
