A leading international engineering and technical services organisation is looking for an experienced Grid Connection Engineer to support the delivery and assessment of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Germany, including onshore wind, solar, and BESS developments.
The opportunity:
- Support grid connection assessments and technical reviews for large-scale renewable energy projects
- Evaluate grid connection requirements, technical documentation, and compliance with German grid regulations
- Work closely with TSOs, DSOs, project developers, engineering teams, and external stakeholders
- Review and assess grid studies, connection applications, and technical submissions
- Provide technical expertise on grid integration challenges and project optimisation
- Support clients throughout the development, permitting, construction, and operational phases of renewable energy projects
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in grid connection engineering within the renewable energy sector
- Strong understanding of the German electricity network, grid codes, and connection processes
- Experience working with DSOs, TSOs, grid operators, and technical consultants
- Knowledge of grid studies, load flow analysis, short circuit calculations, protection systems, or grid compliance assessments
- Ability to review technical documentation and provide clear engineering recommendations
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
