Due to increasing demands in automation, software development, lifecycle management, and system optimization, we are strengthening our team to continue delivering innovative and reliable solutions.In this role, you will be responsible for developing electrical systems and software for machine control, coordinating technical requirements, and supporting products throughout their full lifecycle. You will work in an international project environment, collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure that technical solutions meet specifications, performance expectations, and regulatory requirements.🧠 Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Coordination: Define and align technical requirements for assigned development tasks, ensuring smooth execution from concept to implementation.Electrical System Design: Develop low-voltage electrical systems for machines, including control systems, drive systems, operator terminals, safety components, and sensors.Software Development: Design and implement software for machine control systems, visualizations (HMI), and drive technologies.Project Contribution: Participate in multidisciplinary project teams, working closely with international colleagues and stakeholders.Lifecycle Support: Support products throughout their entire lifecycle, including commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements.Optimization: Analyze and improve the electrical and software performance of existing machines and systems.Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain technical documentation to support development, commissioning, and aftercare.Concept & Technology Evaluation: Conduct studies to evaluate new technologies, architectures, and automation concepts.Global Collaboration: Contribute to the “Group for Electronics” across development sites to share knowledge and standardize solutions.🛠️ What Kind of Person Are YouSoftware-Driven & Technical: You have a strong affinity for automation software and machine control systems, combined with solid electrical engineering knowledge.Analytical & Structured: You approach complex challenges methodically and deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.Collaborative Team Player: You communicate clearly and work effectively in international teams where English is essential.Proactive & Solution-Oriented: You take initiative in improving systems, solving problems, and driving innovation.Hands-On & Practical: You enjoy working close to the machine—from development to commissioning and optimization.Reliable & Detail-Oriented: You ensure accuracy in your designs, software, and documentation, with a strong focus on quality. What You BringBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related fieldProfessional experience with automation systems and commissioning of machines or plant prototypesHands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, or drive systemsExperience integrating hardware and software in industrial environmentsExperience in creating and maintaining technical documentationStrong in both German and English communication skills Nice to HaveExperience in international project environmentsKnowledge of industrial communication protocols and machine safetyExperience within the food processing or machinery industry Why Join Us?At JBT Marel, what we do matters.
