The Opportunity This is an excellent opportunity for a senior lawyer with an established practice and strong client relationships to join a respected Swiss law firm and play a meaningful role in its continued development. The successful candidate will be expected to bring a strong track record in their area of expertise, together with a commercially minded approach and the ability to develop and maintain high‑quality client relationships. The role offers considerable autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth of the Basel office, while working alongside experienced colleagues across a range of complementary practice areas. Key Responsibilities Advise Swiss and international clients on complex legal and commercial matters. Manage and further develop an established client portfolio. Build and expand relationships with companies, entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders. Lead significant transactions, mandates and client engagements within your area of expertise. Contribute to the strategic and commercial development of the firm’s Basel practice. Mentor and develop junior lawyers and contribute to the firm’s collaborative culture. Work closely with colleagues across different practice areas to provide integrated advice to clients. Represent the firm externally and contribute to its profile within the Swiss and international legal market. Candidate Profile We are particularly interested in lawyers who can demonstrate: Swiss legal qualification and significant post‑qualification experience. A strong track record within a recognised Swiss or international law firm. An established client following and demonstrable business‑development capabilities. Excellent knowledge of Swiss law and the ability to advise sophisticated clients on complex matters. Strong commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent German and English language skills; additional languages are an advantage. The interpersonal skills required to operate successfully at partnership level. A collaborative approach and genuine interest in contributing to the firm’s wider development.
