JDL Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing hyperscale and AI data centre developer as they look to expand their team with an Engineering Manager in Europe.
This is a permanent, senior technical role reporting to the CTO. It's a client-side role covering the full asset lifecycle, from concept design through to commissioning and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a senior technical authority across all data centre engineering disciplines
- Set and improve engineering standards and reference designs for a repeatable, multi-campus platform
- Review and challenge consultant designs, and lead technical design reviews
- Support construction teams on technical issues, value engineering and contractor proposals
- Oversee commissioning strategy, including FAT, SAT, IST and handover to operations
- Guide adoption of new technology, including high-density AI, liquid cooling and power architecture
- Support technical due diligence and discussions with customers, investors and the Board
Requirements
:
- 15+ years in mission-critical infrastructure, with strong data centre experience (hyperscale, colocation or cloud)
- Experience across more than one stage of the asset lifecycle: design, construction, commissioning or operations
- Strong MEP knowledge, including HV/MV/LV power, UPS, generators, and air and liquid cooling
- Experience managing or challenging external consultants in a client-side or owner-side role
- Fluent English; Spanish a significant advantage
