Overview

As a Data Engineer at Jedox, you will design, build, and operate the enterprise data platform and data pipelines to enable AI-enabled insights across the business. You will implement a medallion lakehouse on Microsoft Fabric with Delta Lake, connect multiple data sources, and ensure governance, security, and performance. You will drive AI readiness and create reusable data services for cross-functional teams #OneTeam. This role offers impact through shaping Jedox’s data backbone for intelligent applications and planning capabilities.

Verantwortungsbereiche

  • Design, develop, and operate the enterprise data platform
  • Build scalable Microsoft Fabric data infrastructure with a medallion lakehouse architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) using Delta Lake
  • Develop and operate batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines with schema evolution and data quality checks
  • Integrate data sources such as Salesforce, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure SQL, ERP/CRM systems, files, and REST APIs
  • Optimize storage and processing for structured and unstructured data with monitoring and reliability
  • Establish taxonomy, metadata standards, semantic models, data cataloging, and lineage tracking; enforce access control and security
  • Prepare data for AI use cases with document chunking, embedding pipelines, and vector-ready datasets for RAG
  • Expose knowledge services and collaborate cross-functionally to provide APIs and data services for AI applications

Zentrale Anforderungen

  • 7+ years in data engineering with 3+ years building enterprise-scale cloud platforms and AI/ML data prep experience
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; hands-on experience with Spark, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Platform and Delta Lake
  • Experience ETL/ELT, data modeling and data warehousing
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems (Salesforce, SharePoint, M365, Azure SQL/Data Lake) and working with REST APIs
  • Solid understanding of metadata management, master data management, and semantic modeling
  • Certifications in Azure/Fabric; experience with Purview, Synapse, Data Mesh, graph/vector databases, Azure AI Search, or event streaming
