Overview In this role, you drive measurable improvements on the shop floor by applying Lean methodologies to aerospace operations. You collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers, and supervisors to design practical solutions that boost productivity, reduce cycle times, and optimize workflows. You will lead hands-on improvement activities and use data to anchor, sustain, and scale gains across Engineering, Production Installation, MRO, or Aircraft Completions. This is a hands-on transformation role that ties Lean to real-world aviation work. Verantwortungsbereiche Identify opportunities to improve processes, bottlenecks, waste and inefficiencies Design and implement Lean solutions to enhance productivity and cycle times Lead on-site improvement workshops and hands-on optimization activities Collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers, and supervisors to solve problems Improve flow and workplace efficiency through layout, tooling, standards, and documentation Use data to drive decisions and monitor KPIs (productivity, efficiency, cycle time, downtime) Root-cause analysis and embedding corrective actions to sustain improvements Zentrale Anforderungen Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or comparable technical discipline Experience in manufacturing/industrialization/process optimization/lean operations within aerospace, aviation, MRO, or similar technically demanding environments Strong understanding of shopfloor operations, production processes, and aircraft maintenance activities Proven ability to analyze processes and implement measurable improvements in efficiency, productivity, cycle time, quality, or operational performance Hands-on mindset with ability to work directly with operational teams to implement solutions Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes and prioritize improvements Clear communication and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies or certification is desirable Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards, MRO environments, layout optimization, tooling, workstation design, process standardization, or installation activities is advantageous Proactive, solution-oriented, service-minded, and able to work independently within a collaborative team environment proactive solution-oriented team collaboration Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma (desirable) process optimization
