A Press Supervisor for JSM will beresponsible for facilitating optimum production output and quality by enablinga qualified workforce and fostering company policies and procedures. An individual in this role will be accountablefor the overall results of the pressroom on their shift.
EssentialFunctions:
Responsible for supervising,training and hiring of employees to work in the Press and Laser departments.
Ensure effective employee relations.Provide employee coaching and development. Makes employment recommendations. Resolveemployee issues through problem resolution.
Balance quality, productivity,cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work tocontinuously improve in all areas.
Achieve departmentalperformance standards and measures – and provide regular progress reports tomanager.
Provide for a safe workingenvironment.Perform accident responseand support safety committee initiatives.
Communicate upward, downward,across shifts and departments.
Maintain preventativemaintenance program for all equipment and proper inventory levels.
Track training, absenteeismand timekeeping.
Promote company values andculture.Enforce company policies andrules.
Additional Responsibilities:

Requirements
Seasoned knowledge of commercial printing operations.
Ability to build a high performing team.
Exceptional communication and relationship skills.

Two or more years of experience working in a PressOperator role.
One or more years of experience in a print or mailindustry preferred but not required.
Advanced education
Experience in training, qualitycontrol, lean manufacturing, safety, is a plus.
