We're working with a global leader in medical technology to recruit a Senior Payroll Analyst to join its international payroll team in Freiburg, Germany.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong German payroll expertise who wants to take on a broader international role, gain exposure to multiple countries and play a key part in improving how payroll is delivered.
This isn't just about making sure people get paid on time. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, challenging existing processes and making things work better.
The Role
- Take ownership of end-to-end payroll operations across Germany and other international markets.
- Manage relationships with external payroll providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
- Oversee payroll reconciliations, statutory reporting, tax and social insurance requirements.
- Work closely with HR, Finance and other internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls and introduce automation.
- Get involved in international payroll projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' experience in payroll, ideally within a multinational environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of German payroll legislation and compliance.
- Experience working across multiple countries or within a payroll service provider.
- Confidence managing external vendors and working with international stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and an interest in payroll transformation and process improvement.
- Fluent German and English
