We are seeking an experienced fullstack Software Engineer with a strong background in Edge, Cloud, and React Development who is passionate about IoT, Innovation, PropTech, and Technical Excellence. As a team member, you will have the chance to work on JLL’s Smart Building Platform. This role requires hands-on experience in Python on both edge and cloud, frontend development, CI/CD tooling, and extensive knowledge of distributed computing and scalability.

Responsibilities and scope of work:

1. Develop and maintain applications leveraging time-series databases like TimescaleDB and InfluxDB.
2. Design, develop, and enhance software solutions using Python, FastAPI, Django, and related technologies.
3. Utilize React, TypeScript, and RxJS to build robust and user-friendly front-end applications.
4. Manage and optimize SQL databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
5. Develop and maintain AWS-based cloud components leveraging the full capabilities of the platform including Lambdas, IoT Core, Timestream, RDS, etc.
6. Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Terraform, and Octopus.
7. Contribute to distributed computing principles and technologies into software design.
8. Apply your knowledge of BMS and IoT domain to design and develop solutions in this space.
9. Implement software utilizing industry standard BMS/IoT protocols like MQTT, BACnet, Haystack, etc.
10. Follow industry standard SDLC patterns to ensure robust and well-architected software.
11. Participate in triaging and analyzing L3 issues meeting SLA requirements.
12. Develop test cases, scripts, and test harnesses to perform and automate various QA tasks.
13. Support operations with building onboarding, discovery, scanning, and ingestion tasks.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
2. Minimum 3 solid years of industry experience and has demonstrated success in delivering large and complex projects.
3. Extensive experience working with time series databases like TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, and SQL databases like PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
4. Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and AWS Cloud development. Must have Python experience for Edge and Cloud development.
5. Strong experience developing APIs utilizing REST and WebSockets.
6. Strong experience with React front-end development.
7. Experience with OAuth, OIDC, SAML, and Okta.
8. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions, Artifactory, and Terraform.
9. Knowledge of BMS/IoT including protocols like BACnet, Haystack, Modbus, etc.
10. Extensive experience with MQTT, REST, Distributed Computing, and Message-Driven Development.
11. Excellent written and verbal skills, detail-oriented, and excellent critical thinker.
12. Ability to analyze complex problems and break them down, delivery and outcome oriented.
