The job:

As a Card Dispute Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting customers in minimizing losses related to third-party fraud with payment cards, reporting incidents in your area, and maintaining compliance in all actions. You’ll collaborate with internal parties, including other Customer Service teams, Sales, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Compliance, and Legal departments.

Your daily work will include tasks like:

  • Documenting work accurately in various IT systems
  • Participating in audits as a process specialist and delivering required data
  • Maintaining general knowledge of the service environment, including card scheme rules (both domestic and international) and merchant agreements
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and organizational policies
  • Handling customer communications and support via email and/or telephone according to KPIs and agreed SLAs (handling errors, performing corrections, and investigating root causes)
  • Translating local language communications to English
  • Acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of organizational products and processes within the service area
  • Staying updated on IT tools and systems used in work processes
  • Demonstrating the ability and motivation to cross-train and multi-skill in other tasks as required
  • Assisting, training, and supporting other team members when needed
  • Providing input on process development tasks and other initiatives within the area
  • Contributing to workflow changes and process improvements

Your qualifications:

  • You speak and write German fluently (minimum C1) and are fluent in English (B2).
  • French or Italian language skills are a plus.
  • Experience handling customer applications and administrative tasks in a professional, positive, effective way.
  • Experience in communicating and explaining the ‘why’ behind processes and the ability to think analytically and detect risks.
  • Previous experience with Payment products/card services or KYC/AML/Compliance is a plus.
  • You have basic computer handling skills.
  • You are result-oriented, service-minded, self-driven, and flexible.
  • You’re a fast learner with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
