HR Director Austria & Switzerland
who will shape the people agenda, strengthen leadership capabilities, and drive organizational effectiveness across both countries.
The Opportunity This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for the HR function in Austria and Switzerland. As a trusted advisor to senior management, you will help navigate organizational complexity, balance local business needs with international governance requirements, and contribute to building a high‑performing organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic HR Leadership
Lead and develop the HR function across Austria and Switzerland
Drive organizational stability and effectiveness during an ongoing transformation phase
Translate business priorities into practical HR strategies and actions
Business Partnership & Leadership Development
Act as a trusted advisor to the Management Team
Strengthen leadership capabilities and management effectiveness
Foster accountability, ownership, and sound decision‑making
Culture, Performance & Operations
Support the evolution of a performance‑oriented culture
Drive employee engagement and organizational development initiatives
Further professionalize HR operations and ensure operational excellence
Oversee international mobility and complex people‑related matters
Navigate a highly centralized international HR governance framework
Employee Relations
Build constructive collaboration with employee representatives/ Works Council
Advise leadership teams on employee relations matters with confidence and credibility
YOUR PROFILE Experience
Senior HR leadership experience in an international service organization
Proven track record in transformation, change management, and organizational development
Experience working with Works Councils/employee representatives
Exposure to international mobility and cross‑border HR topics
Experience with Workday is an advantage
Resilient leader who performs effectively in complex and fast‑changing environments
Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Able to balance business needs with people considerations
Fluent in German and English
For this key leadership position, our client offers an attractive annual compensation package exceeding €150,000 gross, complemented by a company car and additional benefits. The final package will reflect the successful candidate's qualifications and experience.
