Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Specialist (50%)

We are looking for a motivated candidate, who is interested in aviation to join our AIM team within the data production department. In this position you will be responsible for the acquisition, tracking, verification and distribution of all aeronautical publications required for the creation and revision of our navigational data products.ResponsibilitiesAcquire contacts and maintain good relations to the Civil Aviation Authorities and equivalent organizations worldwideRenew the annual subscriptions for the AIP amendment services for the allotted country coverageTrack and obtain all aeronautical publications available for the 28 day AIRAC cycle in a timely mannerFull responsibility for all source procurement related work tasks in the allotted country coverageMonitor, record, verify incoming aeronautical publicationsFull liability for the on time distribution of available aeronautical publications to internal customersClarify inconsistencies in publication methods applying relevant ICAO rulesProcess clarification requests concerning formatting errors or missing publicationsHandle customers’ requestsParticipate in internal projectsQualificationsSeveral years of professional experience in business administrationStrong English skills (written and spoken); German or any other language skills are a plusStrong communication and diplomatic skillsSolution-oriented approachPro-active, self-dependent and conscientious team playerCustomer and service orientedStructured work approach and ability to prioritize workHigh degree of flexibility, discipline and commitmentAbility to work under time pressure and high workloadExperienced MS-Office user (especially Word and Excel)Knowledge of aeronautical information publicationsAbout Lufthansa Systems FlightNav AGLufthansa Systems FlightNav AG is located in Opfikon, Switzerland, close to the Zurich airport, and currently employs about 200 people.Lufthansa Systems FlightNav Inc. – part of the Lufthansa Group – provides navigation data and produces aeronautical charts, flight planning solutions, and innovative navigation applications to support the flight operations of more than 250 airlines worldwide.
