Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting Position: Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting Work Model: Hybrid Key Responsibilities Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in accordance with IFRS, ensuring timely audits and reviews. Manage the consolidation of group entities and oversee the implementation of a new consolidation tool. Provide strategic direction and analysis to improve financial reporting and accounting systems. Collaborate with senior management to establish accounting policies and ensure accurate and timely reporting. Own and maintain group-wide accounting standards, policies, and the Accounting Manual. Streamline accounting and reporting processes while acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors. Lead, mentor, and grow the global FR&A team, fostering a cohesive “one team” culture across international locations. Champion finance governance processes and establish group-level standards in collaboration with regional finance teams. Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence processes. Contribute to the definition and execution of a unified finance vision and strategy as a key member of the Finance Leadership Team. Qualifications & Experience At least 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a CPA or equivalent certification (Swiss CPA a plus). A university degree in business, accounting, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards, with the ability to connect compliance requirements to business objectives. Experience with external accounting firms and/or large multinational organizations (mid-sized company experience also valued). Previous experience in private equity-backed companies is an advantage. A proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to simplify complex processes and deliver outcomes efficiently. Strong analytical mindset, energy, and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to lead and manage an international accounting team. Skilled communicator with experience in senior leadership environments, including interactions with auditors, corporate executives, and board committees. Familiarity with project accounting (e.g., completion percentage) is a plus. Experience with tools such as IDL, Tagetik, SAP S/4HANA, or similar is highly desirable.
