Machine Operator III will serve as backup to this position.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:As an at-will employer, SIG (formerly Scholle IPN) reserves the right to add to or modify this list to the extent it deems necessary.Complete all tasks in the Packaging Associate Level.Understand procedures for handling bad material and safely cut down bad material.Properly move perf bed.Identify perf blades and change when necessary.Rotate or change slitter blades safely and properly.Identify correct strip, spout, & seal pad for machines.Change strip, spout, & seal pads.Perform ABM cold start-up and plant shut-down procedures.Adhere to Quality plan and specifications.Accurately complete RTA (Real Time Audit).Interpret quality data and know when to make changes.Perform AM (Autonomous Maintenance) inspections.Rotate/change strip skis.Enter work orders into the system.Lead basic changeovers and participate in complex changeovers.Complete paperwork per SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines.Understand and participate in the AM process.Complete Hold tickets and audit bins in Hold Area.Use barcoding system (Virtual Client).Follow FIFO (First In First Out).Enter data into DAS and Excel.Participate in Pre-PM (Preventative Maintenance) meetings.Engage in Safety, Quality, 5S, and Autonomous Maintenance initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:Previous experience in bag making preferred.Willingness to undergo further training or education.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, manuals, and presentations.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Virtual Client.Ability to perform visual inspections and apply technical specifications.WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Frequently stand, walk, and sit.Use hands to handle machinery.Bend, stoop, and reach frequently.Visual acuity required.SAFETY AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT:Safety and quality are everyone\’s responsibility.Report or correct safety or food safety hazards.Follow policies and procedures related to quality, safety, and regulatory guidelines.IDEAL CANDIDATES HAVE THESE COMPETENCIES:Results-oriented, motivated, growth-seeking, collaborative, and innovative individuals who can build strong customer relationships and work as part of a team.WE OFFER:Day 1 Benefits EnrollmentRetirement 401K MatchingEmployee Assistance ProgramIdentity Theft Protection PlanTuition ReimbursementOUR PROMISE:SIG offers a global platform for career development, innovation, and sustainability.
