In Oncology, we strive to become a global pharma innovator with competitive advantage, creating novel therapies for people with cancer.Our European headquarters are in Munich, Germany, and we have affiliates in 13 European countries and Canada.We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position:Medical Science Liaison Manager Oncology (m/f/x) – Region Western Switzerland –The Position:The MSL is a field-based role for the Swiss territory West (Vaud, Geneva, Freiburg, Jura, Wallis) and South (Ticino, Bern-Biel, Moutier, Lyss) that works as a scientific expert and demonstrates mastery and innovation in the ability to develop ongoing professional relationships with national and regional healthcare key external experts (KEEs). The MSL collaborates with the internal cross-functional teams to initiate and drive field medical activities, and to provide medical and scientific support for Daiichi Sankyo company initiatives. In this role, the MSL works closely with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and other relevant decision makers and is the first point of contact for these KEEs in alignment with the brand and field strategy.Liaises with KEEs and medical centres to enhance cooperation of those stakeholders with Daiichi Sankyo, as well as to increase acceptance and advocacy of Daiichi Sankyo contributions to advancing medical practice (products, evidence and services) within the scientific and medical communities.Provides scientific support to customer-facing functions and conducts internal trainings to keep them updated on clinical data and scientific insights.Contributes to the creation and execution of the local medical affairs plan and supports the Daiichi Sankyo product life cycle management, including the provision of medical input to the Go-To Market strategy.Creates, maintains and executes KEE Engagement and Account plans in collaboration with the cross-functional teamIs involved in the organisation of medical/scientific meetings (e.g. advisory boards, medical educational events) & congress medical activities.Supports the development and implementation of global and local clinical trials and registries, as well as early access programs.Contributes to the concept, budgeting, initiation and execution, as appropriate, of other global and local medical and scientific initiatives.Improves Daiichi Sankyo’s capabilities by enabling effective decision-making in terms of clinical knowledge, customer insights, brand performance and competitive intelligence.Carries out reactive and compliant medical information request management.Collaborates cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and other stakeholders including the Alliance partners as needed.Timely declares immediately any adverse events or quality complaints to the responsible person for pharmacovigilance or quality control in accordance with the applicable laws, rules and regulations.Conducts all activities in accordance with the Swiss Pharmacodex and any other applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal standard operating procedures.Education & Professional Experience:A solid and proven scientific or medical background with a university master\’s degree, preferably in human medicine, pharmacy or natural sciences; a PhD is preferredMin. 2 years of relevant work experienceProfound scientific acumen and critical data analysis skills; scientific expertise and Swiss network in the relevant therapeutic area is of advantageHigh understanding and interest for customer centricityProven experience of presenting complex scientific information to HCPs at varying levels including thought leadersGood knowledge and experience in managing scientific studies and medical projectsGood knowledge of clinical trial methodology is preferredExperience in the pharmaceutical environment, preferably within Medical Affairs, as a medical advisor, an MSL or other field role, is of advantageGood understanding of applicable regulations, including the regulatory framework of the pharmaceutical market in SwitzerlandFluent in French and English; German and/or Italian are of advantageFlexible and strong team playerStrong interpersonal and intercultural mindset and skillsStrong communication, presentation and discussion facilitation skillsAbility to prioritize workload and work independentlyPro-active with a hands-on mentalityWhy work with us?Working at Daiichi Sankyo is more than just a job – it is your chance to make a difference and change patients’ lives for the better.
