Main ResponsibilitiesThe Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q) Engineer is responsible for providing hands on support to the commissioning and qualification of all Equipment and Utility Systems supporting all buildings and activities as required. The C&Q Engineer will act as support for the execution scope under responsibilities of existing C&Q EPC teams:Provide field support for the commissioning and qualification of the following utility andprocess systems which are monitored and controlled by the DeltaV DCS:o Black and Clean Utility generation, storage and distribution systems;o Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning for the classified and non-classified areaswithin the site manufacturing and utility areas.o Compounding and SIP/CIP system.o Other systems as required.• Execute and Review Commissioning and Qualification test protocols (using KNEAT electronicdocumentation system) including the following test steps.o Sequence of operation testing including start up, hold, abort, stop and emergency stopsequences.o Control Loop Tuning.o Pump and fan testing.o Alarm and interlock testing.o Troubleshooting and finding resolutions to mechanical and electrical issues foundduring commissioning. Escalation of issues in a proactive manner.• Support the integrated commissioning of the DeltaV system software, hardware and interfacesto the various process and utility systems listed above.• Support the reliable operation of the various automated systems by providing hands onengineering support to troubleshoot control system process control and operational issues.• Support the overall Project Team to collate supporting information to allow timely decisions tobe made that will minimize cost, timeline and quality impact on the Project.• Guiding and supporting field execution ensuring that all equipment is commissioned accordingto standards and procedure and in line with cGMP.• To ensure that any issues found are documented through KNEAT and raising project changes asrequired to ensure resolutions can be implemented in a timely manner.• Provides coaching and training to team members to develop overall team knowledge to ensurefast track commissioning can be achieved.• Ensures C&Q field execution is completed in a safe manner and following companyHSE standards. This will include overall oversight of Lock-Out-Tag-Out preparation, RAMSpreparation, PSHR completion, Method Statements, and Start-up activities.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:• Bachelor’s degree or trade qualification in Engineering (Electrical / Chemical / Process Control,or related field).• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to workindependently and as part of the Commissioning and Qualification team.• 5 to 10 years process commissioning experience (essential) with 3 years utility systemcommissioning experience, (preferred).• 3 years (minimum) DeltaV DCS hands on commissioning and troubleshooting experienceTechFirm is a 100 % Swiss headquartered and operating Engineering company founded in 1998, working from Geneva, Fribourg, Basel and Zurich offices with a team of 350 dedicated engineers.
