Participate in automation and digitization projects from requirements management through prototyping and implementation
Maintain system documentation, ensure configuration management and support testing activities where applicable
Identify improvement opportunities for the lab environment and introduce new technologies and best practices
Requirements
University degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
Practical experience with distributed control systems, ideally Siemens PCS7, WinCC and Simatic Batch, as well as simulation tools such as SIMIT or similar platforms
Solid understanding of automation hardware, PLCs, controllers, field instrumentation, system integration and industrial communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, Profinet, Modbus)
Practical knowledge of IT/OT infrastructure, including virtualization, Windows administration, TCP/IP networks, virtual environments (e.g. VMware, Proxmox) and network segmentation in laboratory setups
