Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and caregivers about ATTR-CM and SCD, treatment options, support offerings, and health and wellness resources
  • Provide ongoing disease-state education and awareness tailored to each community
  • Allocate effort across ATTR-CM and SCD, approximately 85%/15%, while maintaining knowledge and relationships in both areas
  • Connect patients to relevant community and Pfizer resources and appropriately triage reimbursement needs
  • Engage underserved communities and support equitable access to education and resources
  • Coordinate with Key Account Directors, management, brand teams, and cross-functional partners
  • Set objectives, manage complex projects, and oversee collaborations with healthcare systems, HCPs/educators, and advocacy partners
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and share knowledge across the organization
  • Develop solutions, champion innovation, and implement new ideas, processes, or products
  • Use motivational interviewing to identify patient needs and tailor engagement
  • Offer in-person and virtual engagement using print and digital resources
  • Present approved educational content at local, regional, and national events
  • Refer patients and caregivers to local health and wellness organizations
  • Provide local insights to inform patient engagement materials and support resources
  • Organize travel and materials for events

Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. degree required
  • Minimum 7–10 years of pharmaceutical or related industry experience
  • ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease experience
  • Ability to build and maintain disease-state and community knowledge across more than one therapeutic area
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication, listening, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to work in regulated environments and adhere to compliance guidelines
  • Track record of broad collaboration with diverse clients and stakeholders
  • Experience in responsible business practices and compassionate communication
  • Experience engaging diverse and underserved patient communities with cultural humility
  • Familiarity with Pfizer and industry compliance guidelines for working with Medical and Access & Reimbursement colleagues
  • Ability to deliver concise, meaningful presentations with integrity and empathy
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and business skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends and evenings
  • Clinical background preferred (RN, APRN, NP, ARNP, ACSW, LCSW, MPH)
  • Knowledge of ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease and patient/public advocacy
  • Experience with hematology, rare disease, or cardiology patient communities
  • Remote/field-based role; preferred to live in specified geography
  • Bilingual proficiency in certain areas is preferred
  • Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
  • U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available for this role now or in the future
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States required
