• Manage litigation matters involving latent and patent construction defects, property damage, and real estate claims across California state courts
• Draft pleadings, law-and-motion submissions, discovery, and mediation briefs
• Work closely with architects, structural engineers, geotechnical experts, and contractors to evaluate building defects and establish liability
• Conduct and defend depositions of property owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and technical experts
• Attend site inspections, court hearings, arbitrations, mandatory settlement conferences, mediations, and trials
• Utilize AI-driven software and digital technology tools to streamline document analysis, evidence organization, and legal research
Requirements
- Active member with the State Bar of California
- 2+ years of general civil litigation experience
- Prior construction defect background is a plus
- First-chair trial experience is a major bonus
- Must currently reside in California
- Must have a quiet, dedicated home office suitable for virtual court hearings and remote depositions
- Enthusiasm for adopting AI legal tools and modern law firm technology to optimize legal processes
