- Serve as a key point of contact for distributors and key retailers in Western North Carolina
- Support development of annual business plans under the direction of the Zone Manager
- Drive attainment of annual and zone business objectives
- Implement approved business plans and tactics in the assigned territory
- Communicate and execute programs at wholesale and retail levels to achieve sales, distribution, promotional, and merchandising objectives
- Maintain regular call frequency with assigned wholesalers and retailers
- Develop local market plans to meet sales objectives
- Provide direction and support to assigned distributors
- Manage retail execution plans and initiate activities for assigned markets
- Monitor product inventory levels and inventory rotation
- Conduct trimester reviews against the Annual Business Plan
- Track distribution, year-to-date sales volume, pricing benchmarks, competitive activity, retailer and chain volume trends, and co-op budget spending
- Develop and implement corrective action plans as needed
- Manage distributor and retailer relationships and execution against portfolio and brand objectives
- Identify and troubleshoot underperforming packages
- Develop distribution targets and key account target lists
- Submit distribution progress reports
- Reinforce distribution expectations, shelf sets, and merchandising standards
- Manage local sampling plans and engage consumers and retailers at events and trade shows
- Establish and monitor point-of-sale budgets and manage point-of-sale material allocation
- Conduct sales presentations and planning meetings with distributor sales teams
- Communicate with cross-functional teams, including National/Chain Account Managers, Marketing, and Brewery Operations
- Provide written recaps of meetings, retail days, progress tracking, co-op budgets, and market opportunities
- Interact with consumers and retailers to address issues
- Perform basic troubleshooting and corrective actions on draft beer systems when qualified
- Manage the distributor bill-back process in accordance with DGY policies
Requirements
- Must live in or near Charlotte, NC
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and/or minimum of 5 years equivalent job experience
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in all situations
- Good listening skills and engaging group presentation capabilities
- Ability to perform and understand basic trade math
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, maintain attention to detail, and manage time effectively
- Ability to set goals and objectives
- Ability to follow instructions and respond appropriately to management direction

- Ability to work traditional and non-traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Familiarity with VIP and mobile apps designed for industry business purposes
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 35 pounds
- Experience managing distributor co-op budgets, travel and expense budgets, pricing records, price surveys, and competitive pricing benchmarks
