- Travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States, with an East Coast focus, to repair Alma Lasers equipment
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance
- Provide Level 2 technical troubleshooting to customers by phone
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment
- Repair equipment after diagnosis
- Read diagrams and schematics to perform full board swaps as needed
- Test machines after repair to ensure proper functionality
- Maintain and complete repair documentation paperwork
- Provide Level 2 support via phone to customers and internal employees
- Abide by company safety and health policies
- Perform low-voltage electrical repair using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other hand tools
- Set appointments for preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations
- Collaborate with the Client Relations team to resolve customer issues
- Perform device calibration using specified test equipment such as power meters
- Mentor and aid other field service personnel
- Develop troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team
- Assist in mentoring peers and other departments as needed
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical or electronic repair, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of Field Service experience
- Experience with component level repair, preferred
- Knowledgeable of ISO 13485 certification, preferred
- Positive attitude and approach to the job responsibilities and the Alma team
- Ability to read diagrams and schematics
- Microsoft Applications (MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- NetSuite and Salesforce experience, preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Documentation showing eligibility to work in the United States will be required
- Ability to travel 75–90% as needed
- Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds
- Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, plus ability to adjust focus
