- Responsible for all legal matters for Inku Play
- Act as the primary legal contact for executive management and work closely with People & Culture, Partnerships, Sales, Marketing, Esports Operations, Finance, IT and Compliance
- Develop a scalable legal function
- Manage external law firms and ensure business decisions are legally sound, commercially sensible and implemented promptly
- Early identification, assessment and management of legal risks
- Provide legal support for strategic projects, partnerships, investments and new business models
- Draft, review and negotiate domestic and international contracts
Requirements
- Completed law degree with First and Second State Examinations (fully qualified lawyer)
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a commercial law firm, in-house legal department or similar role
- Strong knowledge of general contract and commercial law
- Ideally additional experience in employment, corporate, IT, data protection, media or IP law
- Proven experience independently negotiating complex contracts
- Excellent commercial and business acumen
- Ability to not only identify legal risks but to develop practical solutions
- High level of autonomy, resilience and sense of responsibility
- Clear, precise and audience-appropriate communication
- Fluent German and English (negotiation-level)
- Confident use of digital workflows and modern legal‑tech solutions
- Particularly attractive profile if you have built or scaled a legal department, have experience in a startup, scale‑up or digital business model, are familiar with gaming, esports, entertainment, media or the creator economy, have handled international contracts and cross‑border matters, have managed external law firms and complex litigation, and combine legal quality with pragmatism and speed of execution.
