Head – Finance & Controlling, Financial Accounting

• Overall responsibility for finance and accounting, including continuous optimization and digitalization of all accounting processes
• Technical and disciplinary leadership and development of a team of specialists
• Optimization of structures and processes across the entire finance function
• Preparation and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Preparation of the annual financial statements for the parent company and, if applicable, group subsidiaries
• Ensuring full accounting for the parent company and, if applicable, group subsidiaries
• Point of contact for accounting issues and questions regarding tax law
• Preparation of monthly VAT returns
• Preparation of external and internal reporting
• Management and optimization of payment operations as well as result-optimised processes in accounts payable and accounts receivable management
• Establishment, further development and ownership of KPI-based financial management
• Controlling based on cost and performance accounting for the e-commerce/financial area in coordination with management
• Sparring partner to the executive management for strategic decisions in short- and long-term planning
• Point of contact for shareholders, auditors, tax advisors, banks, insurers and authorities

Requirements

• Degree in business administration with a focus on finance, controlling or accounting, or comparable qualification, e. g. Bilanzbuchhalter or Steuerfachwirt
• Several years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in an e-commerce or retail/trade environment
• Proven leadership experience and enthusiasm for developing a team
• Confident in accounting under HGB; group consolidation experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of relevant tax law
• Strong affinity for metrics and data-driven management
• Confident in building, analysing and interpreting financial KPIs
• High IT and digitalisation affinity
• Proficient in DATEV and/or common ERP/accounting systems
• Analytical, structured and entrepreneurial mindset; hands-on and solution-oriented
• Business-fluent German; good English is a plus
• Available immediately or at short notice
